The Cristofori Story
The Cristofori Story begins with Bartolomeo Cristofori, an Italian harpsichord maker. In the early 1700's he designed the first "pianoforte", a keyboard instrument with hammers striking strings from underneath, as opposed to the harpsichord's plucked strings.
